Explore Door County Lighthouses
100_0658.jpg   Adults and children alike will enjoy lighthouse searching in Door County, WI.  Beginning in Sturgeon Bay heading north to Washington Island you will enjoy not only the beauty of the land and sea but the rich history of how lighthouses were used in the 1900’s to lead the vessels to shore.

100_0655.jpg   A few lighthouses are only accessible by boat but most welcome visitors to their grounds and offer tours for nominal fees.  Cana Island Light is one that for an additional fee allows you to climb the tower and enjoy the view from the outer deck.  The 97 step climb to the outer deck can leave even the most hearty soul a bit winded.

Photography opportunities are in abundance at all lighthouses, be sure to take your camera.
